Jupitora Bhuyan Biography

Jupitora Bhuyan is an artist of Assamese Mobile theatre who has also acted in a few Assamese movies. She is a star anchor of Assam who does lots of Bihu VCD's also. She is a lead actress of Jatin Bora’s Kohinoor Theatre and a successful name of Assamese mobile theater dramas. As a film actress, her latest release is Tumi Jodi Kuwa, directed by Assamese film director, Simple Gogai. Ajeyo and Othello are her upcoming Assamese movies. She has worked with the doyen director of Assamese cinema, Jahnu Barua in the award winning movie Ajeyo, where she played a Muslim character. TV serial of Rang channel, Pratigya is her best performance in television where she portrayed the role of Munmi.

 

She was born on 10 October 1985 in Guwahati, Assam. Her schooling was done at TC Girls School in Guwahati and later she graduated from Handique Girls College of Guwahati, where she chose Arts as the main subject. She entered film industry in the year 1997. The movie was the commercially successful ‘Hiyar Dapunot Tumare Sobi’ directed by Sibanan Baruah. Yet she concentrated most on theatre than movies. Tumar Khobor (2010) and Tumi Jodi Kuwa (2013) are her other releases.

 

In the movie Tumi Jodi Kuwa, she worked aside Prasenjit Borah, Munmi Kalita, Rupam Sharma, Ranjan Dutta, Krishna, Prince and Bhaskar Ranjan. The movie was directed by one of the female personalities of Assam entertainment industry. Jupitora Bhuyan has played a strong role in Kohinoor Theatre with Jatin Bora, for which she was given 5 star rating, in the field of theater.
