Junaid Sheikh Biography
Junaid Sheikh is a south Indian film actor and model of Kashmir origin. He is best known for baddie roles in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, and has appeared in 8 films since 2010. He marked his acting debut with Telugu film, Pappu Mr. Intelligent in 2010, and was later seen in Telugu films such as Dhada, Dookudu and Temper. He played negative roles in Malayalam flicks - I Love Me, Laila O Laila and Salaam Kashmier, and also Tamil flick starring Vijay, Velayudham. In 2015 he made his small screen debut with TV show, Vishwaroopam on Flowers TV. In 2015, he was signed for a Hollywood project.
Junaid Sheikh was born into a business family in Jammu on 31 July 1984. His parents - Sheikh Riyaz Ahmed and Shamas Ul Nissa are entrepreneurs. He studied at Presentation Convent High School at Jammu and also graduated in Information Technology from Manipal University. He also holds an MBA degree from international Business from Arizona. He started his career as a model and succeeded in this field, before stepping into acting roles. He started off as an international model and later walked ramps with designers of International repute. He also worked with Indian fashion designers, and has also been featured in ad campaigns.
Later he decided to pursue a career in films, and enrolled at Mumbai's Barry John's Acting Studio. After that he got his first break through south Indian movie, Mr. Intelligent, in 2010. Since then he mostly played baddie and henchman type of roles in south Indian screen, and has shared screen space with south Indian super stars like Vijay and Mohanlal. He has signed one Hollywood project, "Sky Innovation".
