Jolly Easo Biography

Jolly Easo is a very popular television actress associated with Malayalam entertainment industry best known for playing negative mother-in-law roles onscreen. She has also exhibited her talents as a comedy actress. She showcased her talent through negative character Chandramathi in Manjurukum Kaalam and comedy character Vasantha in Parasparam before Malayali TV audience. She has completed 25 years in TV industry, mostly portraying character roles. She currently appears in Malayalam series Parasparam and Tamil series, Daivam Tantha Veedu.

Jolly was born into a big family of 9 kids. Jolly is married to Easo, an artist. Her elder sisters, Koothattukulam Leela James and Bindu Ramakrishnan entered acting field before Jolly did and have appeared in dozens of tele serials. It was quite unexpected Jolly too joined acted television. Once she visited a studio along with her sisters. Casting team was in search of an artist who could play an arrogant lady from Kottayam. They had earlier done several auditions, but couldn’t find someone who could rightly fit into the role. But when they saw Jolly, they found it the right suite and that’s how Jolly entered the world of television through the series, Thalamurakal. She has shared screen space with her elder sisters for more than 10 serials, where the three siblings appeared together and Doordarshan’s Marubhoomiyil Pookkaalam is one such.

Prior to her television debut, she has been associated with theater since the age of 14. During her early days, she appeared as a substitute to her elder sisters and later became a regular artist. She used to learn drama dialogues of her sisters so that they come handy. Though she received the offer to play the lead role of Radha in the movie, Radha Enna Penkutty, she hesitated to take the offer. She soon got married, and she entered television around 12 years after marriage through the series, Thalamurakal. Currently she is fully active in the television scene.
