Jins Baskar Biography

Jins Baskar is a Malayalam film actor and model, best known for playing supporting roles. He marked his film debut with Kamal’s Malayalam movie, Swapna Sanchari, co-starring Jayaram, and later appeared in more than a dozen of film and short film roles. 2018 film Maradona is his latest release. Other releases include Hero, I love me, Entry, Annayum Rasoolum, Ayal Njanalla, Y, D Company and some short films in Malayalam. He played the brother-in-law of Jayaram in his debut movie, Swapna Sanchari. A software professional turned actor, he resigned his secure job at TCS to pursue a career in entertainment industry.

Jins was born in Kannur. His birthday falls on 20^th February. His childhood days were spent in Wyanad. He graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, and employed at TCS Chennai, one of the leading IT companies of India. Later he moved to Kochi to fulfill his acting dreams, and to become a part of Malayalam film industry. During his early days in Kochi, he worked as a model. He got associated with many ad companies before he bagged his first film role through 2013 film, Swapna Sanchari, in supporting role.

His first noted role came through Annayum Rasoolum directed by National award winning cinematographer and director, Rajeev Ravi. His supporting role as Jismon got noticed, and he started getting more film roles from Malayalam. His role as Arun in Ayal Njanalla also earned him recognition. He was seen in 2017 small budget suspense-thriller film written and directed by Sunil Ibrahim, titled Y. The film opened to positive reviews. Jins played the pivot role of Goonda Leader in Flat. Every character in the film leaves an indelible mark and signs off.
