Jay Vasavada Biography 
Jay Vasavada is a noted writer and columnist belonging to Gujarati language. Started his career as a columnist in 1996, he has completed two decades in this field and many of his columns have been compiled to several books. He has also served as a lecturer of commerce before his foray to writing columns. Vacation Station (2015) is his latest published book. Sahitya Ane Cinema, Aah Hindustan Oh Hindustan, Spectrometr), Life@Kite, Anavrutt, Yuvahava, G.K. Jungle, JSK - Jai Shri Krishna, Mahiti Ane Manoranjan, Science Samandar, Knowledge Nagariya, Preet Kiye Sukh Hoy and Jai Ho are other his published books till now. He was seen in a cameo role in Gujarati blockbuster - Bey Yaar in 2014. He hosted Gujarati celebrity talk show Samvaad on ETV Gujarati and the show completed 225 weeks.
Jay is born on 6 October 1973 in Gondal, Gujarat. His father is a Gujarati lecturer, and his mother, a housewife. Prior to his birth, his mother worked in metron at Adhyapan Mandir, Junagadh. After his birth his mother stayed at home full time and gave him primary education at home. Jay completed secondary school education at Vidhya Mandir School, Gondal. He pursued higher secondary education at Swaminarayan Gurukul, where he failed in the final exams. Later he passed with Commerce as the main subject. He also completed his graduation in management before he started his career as a lecturer.
His writing career began with newspaper articles. In 1996 he joined Gujarat Samachar as columnist. He wrote two weekly columns - Anavrutta and Spectrometre during his initial days. Later he joined Mumbai edition of Mid-day as a columnist. Since 2008 he wrote the column Rangat Sangat in Gujarati weekly Abhiyaan. His columns have appeared in Anokhee, Aarpaar and Gujarat monthlies and he delivers lectures on different subjects across Gujarat and also speeches for radio shows. Apart from his career as a columnist and speaker, he has also anchored several shows for Gujarati television.
