Jatin Sarna Biography

Jatin Sarna is an Indian actor who works in theatre, television and Hindi movies. He played supporting role in Bollywood flicks such as Gold, Meeruthiya Gangsters, Saat Uchakkey, Oass, Chor Chor Super Chor, and O Teri. He also appeared in Sacred Games – a popular web series on Netflix. He made brief appearances in films like Chor Chor Super Chor, O Teri and Unfreedom with less attention. In his most recent release, Akshay Kumar starrer Gold, he appeared as one of the hockey team players. Sarna has acted in more than 25 theatre plays till now.

 

Jatin was born into a Punjabi family in Delhi. He completed his graduation in commerce from Delhi University, after which he joined Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts in 2006 to do a 2-year acting course. Later he was associated with the group as a repertory actor till 2011. Spartacus, The Seagull, Hamlet, Veer Abhimanyu, Gangster Samiti, Khidki and Maharathi are among the plays he appeared as a stage actor. "Gangster Samiti" is among his most noticed work.

 

He appeared in a few TV commercials and TV shows such as Zindagi Dot Com, Faujji...The Iron Man and Kyunki jeena isi ka naam hai. He got his first film break through Rakesh Ranjan Kumar’s Gandhi to Hitler in 2011. It was followed by Oasis 2012. Then he appeared in a short film, 'A Perfect Murder' which won numerous awards. Since then he played brief roles in a series of Bollywood movies, and most of his roles went unnoticed. He got his first major break through Zeishan Quadri’s Meeruthiya Gangsters, where he became a part of ensemble cast. He played the supporting role of Sanjay 'Foreigner' which got noticed.
