Jani Master Biography

Jani Master is a well-known dance choreographer associated with south Indian cinema. He is best known for Western and Folk style works, and has already worked in Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu, and also Bollywood films.  His real name is Shaik Jani Basha, and he hails from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He has also appeared as a celebrity judge and mentor for dance reality shows on Telugu television and has been a part of the shows - Dhee Ultimate Dance Show, Dhee Juniors 2, Dhee Jodi and Neethone Dance. As a choreographer, he is associated with movies since 2009 and has completed one decade in the industry.

Shaik Jani Basha, best known professionally as Jani Master hails from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 2 July 1982. Currently he resides in Hyderabad. He began his career as a dancer in Telugu films. Later he appeared in ETV show Dhee in 2007 as a choreographer.  Started off with television shows as a choreographer in 2007 and also as an extra for films, he bagged his first film project as a choreographer in the year 2009. Drona starring Nitin and Priyamani was his first assignment. Since then he is active in the field working across different language films.

Same year he also marked his Bollywood debut with Agyaat, though his work went unnoticed. He predominantly works in Telugu film industry, and Baahubali: The Beginning, Maryada Ramanna, Naayak, Eaga, Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju, Julai, Iddarammayilatho, Baadshah, Ram Leela, Race Gurram, Yevadu, Govindudu Andarivadele etc are some of his Telugu works. He choreographed Salman Khan starrer, Jai Ho, Kannada Film – Akira (2016) etc. In 2018 he worked as a choreographer for Tamil film, Maari 2.
