Jai Quehaeni Biography

Jai Quehaeni is a budding young actress of south Indian cinema, who made her film debut with 2015 thriller movie, Charles Shafiq Karthiga (2015). The film had a low-key release but won positive reviews after its release in March 2015. A cricket oriented movie, she played female lead opposite Sharran Kumar, who played the role of Charles - an aspiring young cricketer who wants to play for Chennai Super Kings. The movie also included Mishal, Narayan and Vimal, who has worked with the lead actor earlier in the campus film - Inidhu Inidhu. Charles Shafiq Karthiga (2015) was released during World Cup Cricket match and its title was abbreviated and publicized as CSK, after the IPL cricket team, Chennai Super Kings.

 

Jai Quehaeni was born in Chennai in the year 1990. ‘Aarohanam’ was her debut film. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and never took any formal lessons in acting. She is a professional dancer who has done many live concerts in Europe, Malaysia, Australia and USA. She is interested in trying different types of dishes whenever she reaches a nation for a trip, whether professional or personal.

 

She played a simple Chennai girl Karthika in the film, Charles Shafiq Karthiga. ‘Aarohanam’ just happened by chance and she was a bit confused if she should accept the role or not. But after impressed by the script, she accepted CSK. The actress pulled off some daring stunts without using body double in the thriller film.

 

Known to be in the list of rare breed of actresses, her acting talents and killer looks brought her popularity in a short time frame. Now she is serious about her profession. She is a happy-type girl who less plans about future. She is a foodie, and loves animals, dancing and travelling. She has one brother who is very supportive.
