Jagroop Singh Biography

Jagroop Singh is an Indian footballer from Gurdaspur, Punjab, who has played with national team, different sports clubs as well as the prestigious Indian Super League. He plays as the goal keeper for his team and is currently associated with Delhi Dynamos FC. Marker his professional career debut in 2010-2011 season, he first played for Indian Arrows, followed by Prayag United, Air India, Eagles, and Delhi Dynamos. He is associated with Delhi Dynamos since 2014. He has played 25 matches with Indian Arrows in his debut season during 2010-2011.

 

Jagroop Singh hails from Gurdaspur, Punjab, and he was born on 16th May 1991. He serves as goalkeeper for his team, and has played with some leading football clubs and league matches since 2010. For the 2010-11 I-League season Singh played for Indian Arrows. Before that he had represented his state team Gurdaspur. He made an outstanding career debut by playing 25 out of 26 games played winning praises from everyone.

 

In 2011, he was signed for Prayag United S.C. which is a club also in the I-League. After the season, he joined Air India FC for i-league matches, India's first ever professional football league, originally launched in 2007. In his debut match, his team lost to Mohan Bagan.

 

On 5 December 2013, he was signed up with Eagles F.C. of Kerala on loan for 2013-14 season along with 7 more players, and during his stint with this club, he received training with UK based Reading F.C. Academy for a few weeks. The other members were Jagroop Singh, Nadong Bhutia, Avinabo Bag, Biswajit Saha, Ramandeep Singh, Bisheshwor Singh and Govin Singh. He has been a team member of Hero Indian Super League for the Delhi Dynamos since October 2014.
