Jagi Mangat Panda Biography 
Jagi Mangat Panda is a former model, media entrepreneur and a politician’s wife. She is an industrialist and is currently the M.D. of Ortel Communications Ltd. She is the co-founder of this organization too. She is married to prominent Biju Janata Dal party leader and parliamentarian, Baijayant "Jay" Panda. She was air hostess and model before turning an entrepreneur. She has appeared in numerous television ads in the late 1990’s and Her Cadbury’s ad (dancing at a cricket stadium) was very popular then. She married the politician on 13 August 1994.
She met Jay Panda for the first time in 1992 when an international flight from New Delhi to Paris had to make an unscheduled emergency landing at Ankara, Turkey, due to a bomb threat. Jagi was an airhostess then. They met for the second time three days later at Heathrow Airport, London. Thus began their relationship. They finally got married in 1994 and still regarded as Odisha-based power-couple who has completed 20 years of togetherness.
Jagi belongs to a Punjabi family but she grew up in Hyderabad. She was an airhostess and also had a short stint in modelling. She did her first television ad for Palmolive. But it was Cadbury’s ad which made her popular. She started up with a fibre-optic business that provides communication services in the late 1990’s. She also joined broadcast media and runs for television channels right now. OTV (Odisha TV), Tarang, Tarang Music and Prarthana are the channels to belonging to this group and she currently plans to start a full-time movie channel also. She also did a filmmaking course from New York Film Academy a short while ago and wants to make one movie.
