Jagdeep Singh Biography 
Jagdeep Singh is a professional basketball player from Rajasthan. He currently plays for Mumbai Challengers in the UBA Pro Basketball League. He has been a member of Punjab Police Jalandhar, who played seven seasons of the Indian National Basketball Championship. Following an injury in 2012, he had to take a break from his professional career and returned back only in 2016, after a break of around 4 years. He made a great comeback by outperforming in UBA Season 4 in the thunderous Sathyabama University Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
Jagdeep Singh Bains was born on January 10, 1986 in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. His father is an athletic coach. Initially Jagdeep was a runner coached by his father. But because of his exceptional height of 6 feet 6 inches, he later switched over to basketball, and earned success in this field. He started coaching in basketball in 2002. His talent was soon noticed by coach Sankaran Subramanian, and thus he got opportunity to join Ludhiana Basketball Academy in Ludhiana.as his coach, Sankaran Subramanian played an important role in shaping the basketball career of Bains. Apart from regular coaching of five to six hours each day, he also taught Singh the basics of the game.
Singh found place in India junior national team very soon, and at the age of 19, joined senior national team. He was a member of national team which competed in the FIBA Asia Championship 2007 and FIBA Asia Championship 2009. By that time he became one among the 15 best players of India. Slowly he moved to higher ranks. While serving for Punjab in 2012, an injury forced him to take a break. But he returned back in a bang in 2016, and has been playing since then.
