Ishtiyak Khan Biography

Ishtiyak Khan is a popular film actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He is best known for his supporting roles in Bollywood. His role as Hiraman Tiwari in the film Anaarkali of Aarah earned him recognition. Chaurasia in Bharat, Vasu - Lawyer from Rohtak in Jolly LLB, Sunny in FryDay and Munna in Ammaa Ki Boli are a few more noted film roles. He is a graduate from the prestigious National School of Drama, Delhi and is a holder of Prabhakar degree in music. 

Ishtiyak Khan hails from Panna, Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 15 April 1976. His full name is Ishtiyak Arif Khan. He did his schooling from his hometown. In 1989, he joined a theatre group named "Bharatiya Jan Natya Sangh”, and become a part of several street plays. Ek Tha Gadha Urff Aladdad Kha, directed by Satish Sharma was his first stage play. He also graduated from NSD, as he was serious in acting and wanted to pursue a career in this field. He joined NSD in 2004. By that time he already had more than a decade of experience in theatre.

After NSD, he started giving auditions for Hindi films, and till now has appeared in more than a dozen of feature films and quite a few short films. Though his roles are brief in most of his films, he managed to leave an impression in audience’s minds. He was also featured in a few TV ads. Lux Vinus with Amitabh Bacchan and Udaan App with Pankaj Tripathi are among those. In 2018 he marked his television debut with the show, Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai. Issaq, Tamasha, Fukrey Returns etc are a few more film roles.
