Isha Sharvani Biography

Isha Sharvani is a very talented contemporary dancer who performs worldwide. She is also an Indian actress who has worked for Bollywood movies. Her debut Malayalam movie, ‘5 Sundarikal’ is to release soon. Isha is a gifted dancer who gives preference to her stage shows and practices more than movies and that’s the reason why she has acted only a fewer movies since her debut in 2005 with Subhash Ghai’s movie – Kisna opposite Vivek Oberoi. The movie was a disaster at box office. Isha was casted as a dancer and her dance steps were well appreciated by audience. She is a trained Malkam dancer in her dance troop. She has also learnt marital art form of Kerala, Kalari payattu, Chau dance and Kathak.  

Isha Sharvani was born in Gujarat in 1984. Later her family shifted to several places all over India and finally got settled in Thiruvananthapuram. It has been about 14 years since she settled in Ananthapuri. She resides near the lake side of Velliyani, a little distant away from the city by a lake side. Her parents started an arts training school named AARTI in Thiruvananthapuram city.

She was discovered by Subhash Ghai when he was searching for an actress who has talent in dancing skills as well. Though the movie flopped, she became a known face of Bollywood and it was for her dancing skills that she was noted most. She tried her luck in a few more Bollywood movies like U me aur Hum, Good boy bad boy, Bandh karo darwaza, David, Rocky the rebel and Luck by chance. It was also rumoured that she plays a role in Kamal Hassan’s Viswaroopam. But it didn’t happen. She has also made a Special appearance in song "Theeyae Theeyae" of the movie Maathran. In true sense, she didn’t give much preference to acting career. She even feels that marriage can also make it difficult to grow as a talented dancer. Now she is travelling worldwide performing live in many concerts.

She was one among the three finalists of reality Dance show ‘Jhalak dikhla jaa’ season 5, but was withdrawn due to injury.
