Indrani Dasgupta Biography

Indrani Dasgupta is a famous Indian model and television anchor. She is a top model of the country and has endorsed many leading brands as well. She has also appeared in a few music videos. The most popular song is "Kaise Bhoolegi Mera Naam" from the album Phir Dhoom (2000) of Euphorbia, where she appeared aside Palash Sen. This song was a huge chartbuster for the year 2000 and brought her instant fame. She was awarded the Society Achiever's Award for glamour in 2002.

She is of Bengali origin, born and raised in Muscat. She was born in the year 1983. Later she completed her graduation and post-graduation from Delhi University and JNU respectively. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and later pursued LLB. She entered modelling at the age of 18, while she was doing graduation at Miranda House, University of Delhi. She was spotted by designer Ashish Soni, for whom she did ramp walks for costume designs. Though she pursued a career in modelling, she carried her studies side by side. Though she dreamt to become a lawyer, her busy modelling schedule didn’t allow completing her studies. She entered into the world of television, advertisements and print billboards and became successful.

Till now she has done ramp walks for many leading costume designs like JJ Valaya, Ritu Kumar and Rocky S. She has been a popular choice of Indian versions of world brands like Allen Solly and Lakme and has appeared in five Lakme Fashion Weeks. She has been the brand ambassador of Lakme beauty products. She has also hosted one show, What's With Indian Men? on Fox Traveller alongside actress Sugandha Garg.
