Harjit Harman Biography 
Harjit Harman is a Punjabi folk and pop singer from Nabha, Punjab. He is active in Punjabi music since 1999 and known for the style of melodious but high pitch voice, a singing style adopted by the popular Punjabi pop singers, Hans Raj Hans and Harbhajan Maan. This singing style has entertained young audience a lot. His 2011 album, Shaan-E-Quam was nominated for the Global Indian Music Awards under the category "Best Folk Album." He has also done playback singing and performed as a singer for Punjabi movies such as Raula Pai Gaya and Tera Mera Ki Rishta.
His debut album “Kuri Chiraan Ton Vichhari” was released in 1999, followed by “Zanjeeri” and “Tere Pain Bhulekhe” in 2002. Panjebaan released in 2004 was a major breakthrough. This single album earned him international recognition as Punjabi Pop and Folk Singer. "Dil Marjaane Nu", "Jattan De Putt", "Mitran Da Naa Chalda", and its title tracks were chartbusters. Fusion of traditional folk and pop music, with lyrics penned by S. Pargat Singh was well appreciated by audience. His releases later - Singh Soorme (2005), Mundri (2007), Hoor (2009), Shaan-E-Kaum (2010) and Jhanjhar (2012) followed same success.
Born in village Doda near Nabha of Patiala district, he completed graduation from Akaal Degree Collage Mastuana Sahib, Sangrur. It was during his graduation days when he met S. Pargat Singh, a lyricist and it became the turning point of his career. Pargat Singh happened to hear Harjit’s melodious voice in a college function and that’s how they decided to work together. Pargat Singh penned lyrics and also produced many of the albums of Harjit, which turned successful. Though his first album received luke warm response from public, some of his popular songs – Surma Na Payi Mutiare, Ve Mein Kattadi Trinjhana Ch Charkha, Tere Pain Bhulekhe etc earned him recognition as a singer.
