Hamom Sadananda Biography 
Hamom Sadananda is a successful film actor associated with Manipuri cinema. He is also a well-known playback singer. As of now, he has appeared in over a 100 movies, and is a part of Nat Sankirtans on various Manipur occasions. He is also a music and video producer. He is the brand ambassador of Kaizen Sports along with Soma Laishram and Oinam Bembem Devi. He is associated with Manipuri cinema since 2006, and has regularly acted in movies directed by Romi Meitei and Ajit Ningthouja. Khurai Angaobi, Leichilda Pallaba Thaja, Tomthin, Amuktang-ga Haikho, Soinairaba Thamoi and Chingda Satpi Engellei are his most recent releases.
Hamom Sadananda hails from Leikai, Imphal, Manipur. Initially he was a guitarist, and later became a singer. He started singing after the sudden demise of his elder brother, Shivananda, who composed some Manipuri songs by playing guitar with Hamom. Thus he released his first music album - ‘Angaobani Haibire’ in 1995, along with a few more compositions created by him. Shivananda was also a guitarist of a band called Red Devils. He started singing for concerts and he slowly gained popularity. He used to play guitar for local bands like Cannibals and Phoenix from 1989 till early 1990s. He started off as a singer in the film industry and later started accepting film roles. Later he rose to prominence as a successful actor.
His noted roles include - Ingengi Atiya, Manithoiba, Chumthang Makhong, Imagi Laman Singamdre, Khuji, Thoiba Thoibi, Mami Sami and Meerang Mahum. As a singer and composer, he was heavily influenced by western music in the 1990s. In 2010, he won state award for best male playback for Houda Houjillu song from the film Nobap. The film Hingbagee Mahao earned him state award for best actor.
