Grace Karunas Biography 
Grace Karunas is a well-known playback singer associated with Tamil cinema. She has done brief roles in a few Tamil films too. She is the wife of well-known character artist, Karunas. Grace and Karunas worked together in many independent albums, and their songs remained successful. "Cheena Thaana Doi" in the Kamal Haasan-starrer Vasool Raja MBBS (2004) was her first songs in movies. Since then she has sung some hit songs for Tamil movies such as "Velaku Onnu Thiriya Paakudhu" from Devathaiyai Kanden, "Thathalakka" from Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, "Vaadi En Kappa Kezhange" from Sandai etc, and most of them are foot tappers and item songs.
Grace Karunas hails from Chennai. She began singing at the age of five with the CSI Church, Poonamallee, and was associated with Church Choir since young. She met actor Karunas during an intercollegiate competition, and he liked her voice. He appeared as a judge for the singing competition, where Grace presented her song. Later Karunas asked her to join him, and they worked together for many independent albums. Gradually the professional relationship transformed to a personal relationship and they got married. Later Grace sang in many movies produced by her husband. The couple has one son, Ken who has recently joined Tamil film industry as an actor.
Apart from her stint as a singer, Grace has also done supporting roles in a few Tamil movies. Her roles in Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam (2006) and Kathakali (2016) need mention. She played lead heroine Shriya Saran’s friend in Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam, while played the role of Kavitha in action thriller Kathakali. Currently she is concentrating on to her singing career.
