Gora Ho Biography 
Gora Ho is an Indian archer based in Balijhudi village, Rajnagar from Jharkhand. This wonder boy is also known by the name Golden Boy. He belongs to a poor family of farmers from the tribal belt of Jharkhand. Yet he shoots gold at Asia Cup in Bangkok in 2018. A child prodigy, Gora Ho’s ability with the bow and arrow was discovered by coaches at the Dugni Archery Academy in Seraikela six year back. He is a winner of National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement for the year 2017, for his outstanding achievements in the field of chess. The award instituted in 1996 is awarded by the Department of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India to children between ages 4 to 15 with exceptional abilities.
Gora Ho was born into a poor family of farmers in Balijhudi village, Rajnagar. He is the youngest son of Khaireu Ho, and has three elder brothers. He lost his mother in 2016. He began his training at Arjuna Archery Academy and was later moved to Dugni Archery Academy in Seraikela by B Srinivas Rao. Ho’s ability with the bow and arrow was discovered by coaches at the Dugni Archery Academy in Seraikela a few years back.
In 2014, at the age of 13, he earned three gold medals at National School Games in Ranchi and in 2015 he won 10 more medals at Jharkhand Archery Championship. Named golden boy in the field of archery, he has won more than 100 medals in sub-junior and junior events in state and national levels, andf has now made to senior level. He teamed up with Akash and Gaurav Lambe and defeated Mongolia to win the gold medal at Asia Cup Stage 1 Archery Meet 2018 in Bangkok. The trio beat Mongolia’s Adiyasuren Baasankhuu, Otgonbold Baatarkhuyag and Gantugs Jantsan 27-26 in the tie-breaker to clinch gold for India.
