George Vishnu Biography

George Vishnu is a noted actor associated with Tamil cinema and TV serials. He is the son of legendary Malayalam actress Sheela of Chemmeen fame and noted Tamil actor, Ravichandran. His parents are divorced, and it was the second marriage of both these cine artists. He made his film debut with the Tamil film, Kadhal Rojavae. The movie was originally made in 1997, but had a delayed release in 2000. Vishnu played lead role opposite Pooja Kumar in this movie. Since 2012, he was seen in supporting roles in Tamil films - Adhisaya Ulagam, Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru and Ya Ya. In between he was active in television and was seen in the television soap - Chellamay during the period 2009 to 2013, before his re-entry to films.

His real name is Murali Raj Sathish. He was born to cine artists of south Indian film screen – Ravichandran and Sheela. He has no siblings. Both the actors had a failed marriage before, and unfortunately this marriage too resulted in a divorce. Ravichandran passed away in 2011 at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai aged 71. George received his first film offer in the year 1997. His debut film was titled - Kadhal Rojavae. He signed a deal with its producer Bhaskar that he won’t sign any other movie before the production and release of the film. Unfortunately the film was dragged and released only in 2000. Thus he couldn’t sign any movie in between.

Pooja Kumar was paired in the lead role opposite him in his debut romantic flick. However the movie flopped at box office. With 2012, he started appearing in supporting roles on silver screen. But he gained popularity as a television actor through the series, Chellamay.
