Geeta Tyagi Biography

Geeta Tyagi is a popular actress associated with Hindi entertainment industry, known for essaying character roles. She is fully active in television industry more than films. Shashikala Rathore on Doli Armaano Ki and Bimla Agarwal on Aap Ke Aa Jane Se are her most popular mini screen roles which made her a popular actress. She also appeared in small roles in two Bollywood films - What's Your Raashee? and Zor Lagaa Ke...Haiya! She is associated with mini screen since 2009, and was seen in couple of Bollywood movies before her small screen debut. She plays the role of Nalini in Dehleez which airs in Ndtv Imagine.

She was born in Dehradun. She is married to Vijay Tyagi, and the couple has two sons. She has one brother, Rakesh. K. Tyagi. She schooled from Central School, Dehradun. She completed her college studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University and later completed her diploma in acting from the prestigious NSD, New Delhi in 1998. Soon after her acting course, she started her acting career. Zor Lagaa Ke...Haiya! in 2009 marked her Bollywood debut. She was also seen in Priyanka Chopra starrer What's Your Raashee? the same year. She played the character role of Anila Kamdar in this film. Same year she marked her television debut as well.

Dehleez for Ndtv Imagine was her first TV show. Later she became regular in TV shows, and was seen playing memorable roles in Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Punar Vivah, Ek Boond Ishq, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Dream Girl, Doli Armaano Ki and Aap Ke Aa Jane Se. Currently she plays the role of Bimla Agarwal in Aap Ke Aa Jane Se since 2018. The show is aired on ZEE TV.
