Gavie Chahal Biography

Gavie Chahal is an Indian actor who works in television and has most recently debut Bollywood in supporting role in the movie – Ek tha tiger. He is also a Punjabi actor known for the roles - Yaaran Naal Baharan, Mehendi Wale Hath, Majajan and Tere Ishq Nachayva. He worked in Punjab Police before starting his career in the entertainment industry as an actor. He won the title of Mr Punjab in the year 2000. He is regularly featured in many music videos of private albums and till now, he has appeared in more than 60. ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ marked his television debut as an actor. Now he appears in Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein of Zee TV in the role of 'Shivendu Kaushik'. Ek tha tiger was the real breakthrough to Gavie’s acting career.

Gavie Chahal was born on November 11, 1978 in Mansa, Punjab. He worked as a model and appeared in many fashion shows as well. After his win as Mr. Punjab in the year 2000, it began the successful career of Gavie as a model and he regularly appeared in music videos as well. His first music video was Jattan De Putt Saadh Ho Gaye. In 2005 he moved to Mumbai seeking more offers and thus made his entry to small screen through Ekta Kapoor’s mega series - ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. But he left the show when he got a Punjabi film - Yaaran Naal Baharan.

Chahal is the winner of AXN's adventure show ‘Fear Factor’. Kaash Mere Hote, Mohe Rang De and Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein are his other small screen appearances. He played an important character Abrar in the blockbuster - Ek Tha Tiger.
