Gaurav Wadhwa Biography

Gaurav Wadhwa is an Indian television actor associated with Hindi soap dramas. He is also a successful model. He is best known for playing Sohail Chhaabra in Ye Hai Mohabbatein. His other popular roles include Samar Kapoor in Thapki Pyar Ki, and Shubham Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. His brother Nirbhay Wadhwa is also a successful film and television actor, best known for playing Dussasana in epic series, Mahabharat, and many other roles related to mythological shows. Gaurav Wadhwa has played both positive and grey shaded roles on screen, and received fame for both.

Gaurav Wadhwa was born on 19 December 1993 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He started his career as a model before moving to acting. He was first seen as a contestant for 2013 dance reality show, Dance India Dance hosted by Hrithik Roshan. In 2014 he was featured in an episode of the show, Fear Files. He got his first break in television in 2016, when he was roped in for the popular show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein. He played Sohail Chhaabra in the show, the antagonist for nearly two years. The show helped him to earn recognition as an actor, and he also received a few more acting roles from television industry.

He played the Parallel Male Lead Protagonist, Samar Kapoor in the popular show, Thapki Pyar Ki in 2017, and the role was well appreciated. He played Shubham Manish Goenka, Parallel Male Lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, before he bagged his first lead role through Super Sisters - Chalega Pyaar Ka Jaadu in 2018. The show is being aired on SAB TV.
