Gaurav Sharma Biography

Gaurav Sharma is an Indian author and novelist who writes in English. His semi-autobiographical fiction book Gone are the Days was an instant hit, and he is best known for this book published in 2016 by Kalpaz Publications. It was his first written novel. The book made into the IANS list of recommended books for young adults. Development and Communication Morphosis is another work he authored. He authored three non-fiction works in field of journalism and mass communication. Gaurav is now settled in Canada. He is also a blogger.

 

Gaurav Sharma was born on March 4, 1992 in Delhi. He spent his childhood days with his grandparents in his ancestral home at Sitamarhi, where he completed his schooling too. For higher education he moved to Delhi. He completed his Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication from GGSIPU in 2014, followed by Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration from Langara College. After completing his journalism and business management studies, he worked with several journalistic organizations for some time.

 

He wrote his first textbook, Design and Graphics Redefined in 2011. He was only 19 then. Photography Redefined and Development and Communication Morphosis are other books he authored later. He published his first novel, Gone are the Days in 2016, and this semi-autobiographical work became an instant hit. It was one of the best young adult fiction novels in the recent times, and he shot to fame with this single book. The book also holds a nostalgic touch with memories, which attracted many readers. The book also recounts the author’s struggle to discover himself, his ambitions, good friends and how to accept the harsh realities of life.
