Ganeshkar Biography

Ganeshkar is a popular comedian associated with Tamil cinema and television. He is also a successful television host. The actor has also played numerous supporting roles on big screen. He is married to popular comedian of television and cinema, Aarthi Ganeshkar since 2009. Together they participated in Kalaignar TV's dance show, Maanada Mayilada, where they won the second prize of 5 lakhs. Their marriage happened soon after. They got married at Guruvayur temple and later gave a grand reception at Chennai, attended by many celebrities. Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (2013), Padikkathavan (2009) and Aranmanai (2014) are his most popular film roles.

He was born and raised up in Chennai. His debut movie is Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal released in 1989. He was also seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s cult classic Shiva, the same year. En Thangai Kalyani, Nee Pathi Naan Pathi and Moondravadhu Kann are some of his early roles. The actor played only less significant roles in his early releases and throughout 1990s. He was also seen in movies of 1990s – Mustafa, Koodi Vazhnthal Kodi Nanmai etc.

Ganeshkar gained popularity through serials and reality shows on television. He appeared in the popular television series, Bommalattam, aired on SUN TV in 2012. He also hosted the show, Super 10 on Sun TV. He teamed up with another comedian, Aarthi for the dance reality show on Kalaignar TV, Maanada Mayilada, where the pair emerged as second winning 5 lakh cash prize. Love blossomed between the two and they got married at Guruvayur temple in a low-profile marriage. Wedding reception was held at Chennai on October 25^th, attended by leading actors and politicians as well. Deputy CM Stalin, Kanimozhi MP and Mayor Subramaniam were among the VIPs who greeted the couple.
