Freddy Daruwala Biography

Freddy Daruwala is a successful model and Bollywood actor, best known for playing negative shaded and antagonist roles. He marked his film debut with 2014 Akshay Kumar starrer hit film – Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, playing the lead antagonist’s role. He portrayed the role of Sleeper cell's head, and it helped him to make an impressive debut in Bollywood. An unconventional baddie, he later appeared in movies - Force 2, Commando 2, Umeed and most recently in Race 3, mostly playing baddies. In 2017, he marked his Gujarati film debut with Rachna No Dabbo, and marked his south Indian debut in 2018, with Telugu action flick, Touch Chesi Chudu.

Freddy Daruwala hails from Adajan of Surat district, Gujarat. He started his professional career as a model, before moving to films in 2014 with – Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. Since then he is regular in Bollywood as a baddie. Being a stylist villain in Bollywood, he breaks all stereotypes, creating a niche of his own. The new baddie of Bollywood, his audience swoon over his mysterious character, Bakhtawar Khan, in 'Commando 2'. He played a cameo role in Force 2. He is mostly associated with action flicks.

After his impressive debut in Holiday, he turned choosy. That’s why he was not seen in a couple of years. He rejected many roles, as they were not exciting as Holiday was. He feels that there is only a thin layer between hero and villains, and in the time of stylist villains, he doesn’t mind to play baddie on screen. He loved his role in small and beautiful film, Ummed. That’s why he accepted it. He has taken up theatre workshops and dance workshops, as he is serious in film career.
