Febi Mani Biography 
Febi Mani is an Indian playback singer known for her frequent association with A. R. Rahman in the 1990s and early 2000s, and with Harris Jayaraj later. She is the wife of noted music composer Srikanth Deva and daughter-in-law of veteran music composer Deva. She is married into a family with close links to music and cinema. Srikanth’s uncles - Sabesh and Murali together form composer duo of Tamil cinema, Sabesh-Murali. His cousin Bobo Shashi also opted for music and is a successful composer, while his other cousins Jai and Karthik are noted actors of Tamil cinema. Febi Mani predominantly sang for Tamil movies, apart from private albums.
Febi Mani is also credited as Febi Srikanth Deva. She was born and brought up in Chennai, where she took formal lessons in music. Febi was brought into the cine scene by none other than A. R. Rahman, the composer known for promoting budding talents since his initial days in Tamil cinema. Febi has been frequently collaborated with the composer since mid-1990s and in the first half of 2000s. Rahman used her voice for some of the hit songs of 1990s such as "Kokku Saiva Kokku" from Muthu (1995), "Strawberry Kanne" from Minsara Kanavu (1997), "Kikku Yerudhey" from Padayappa (1999), "Love Theme" from Jeans (1998) and "Oh Mariya" from Kadhalar Dhinam (1999). Her voice was also used for Hindi version of "Dil Se Re" from Dil Se where Rahman played playback singer’s role.
She also sang for Rahman’s compositions in Kannathil Muthamittal, Taj Mahal etc. She got married in 2005 to music director Srikanth Deva, and after that she worked mostly on private albums. Yet she sang a few memorable songs composed by Harris Jayaraj. "Stranger in Black" from Anniyan, "Iruvathu Vayasu" for Arasatchi, "Aadatanamaa" for Gharshana, "Jothi Neranjava" for 12 B etc are among those.
