Fardeen Khan Biography

Fardeen Khan is best known as a style icon and the son of yesterday star Feroz Khan who has given us powerful movies like Kurbaani and Shaan. Though his entry to Bollywood as an actor was given much attention, his first movie ‘Prem Agan’ (1998) flopped at the box office. Though owning an attractive face and stylish look, he has not found his powerful presence in film industry. But he has been successful in a few multi-hero movies like Jungle, Welcome, Bhoot and Heyy Baby.

Born in a star family, he was surrounded by big stars of Bollywood. His uncle was also a great actor who has worked for movies like Arzoo and had done a powerful Doordarshan serial – The word of Tippu Sulthan – Sanjay Khan. His sister is married to Hritik Roshan. He is the nephew of actor Akbar Khan too.

Though his first movie bombed at box office, he was ropped for the next movie by Ram Gopal Varma. It was Jungle (2000) opposite Urmila and Suniel Shetty also did a good role. This movie was critically well acclaimed and his role was praised. This movie is remembered for its beautiful tunes too. Seeing his successful pairing with Urmila, he was casted again next year opposite her for the movie Pyar Tune kya kiya. Though the movie was appreciated for Urmila’s performance as an obsessive lover and lovely tunes by Sandeep Chawta, the movie couldn’t bring audience to theatres. It ended up with mixed responses. Love ke liye kuch bhi karega acquired moderate success.

Then we saw a string of flops - Hum ho gaye aapne, Kitne door kitne paas, Om Jai Jagdeesh and Kuch tum kaho kuch hum kahein. In 2003, three movies were released. Khushi and Janasheen failed at the box office though Bhoot ran successfully. Again Urmila proved successful to him. Then his career continued with a series of hits and flops combined. Hey baby along with Akshay Kumar gave him success in 2007 while movies like Fida and Ek Khiladi ek haseena flopped.

His movie along with Kareena – Dev was critically well acclaimed while their chemistry was noted in Fida and Khushi. Still he is struggling in Bollywood with a series of flops. Let us hope that he will attain a success graph positively that ends up with some meaty roles and powerful performances.
