Faheem Ansari Biography 
Faheem Ansari is an alleged to be a member of Lashkar-e-Toiba, an organisation considered terrorist by India and US. His family originally belongs to Uttar Pradesh and he was brought up in Mumbai. He was arrested on 10 February 2008 along with five others after being suspected for 2008 Mumbai Attacks. However on 3 May 2010, Ansari and the co-accused Sabauddin Shaikh were acquitted for lack of evidence. His lawyer Shahid Azmi was shot dead in 2010 before his release.
Faheem Ansari, also known as Mohammad Faheem Ansari was brought up in Mumbai. He is married to Yasmin and has one daughter. He joined the LET in 2003 while working in Dubai and returned to India in 2007. He didn’t maintain any connection with his parents and brothers who were at Goregaon suburb of the city. He stayed in Mumbai for 3 months at Grant Road in cheap rent. As per police reports, he made reconnaissance of several central hubs of the city including Mumbai Stock Exchange, Police headquarters, the Mahalakshmi Temple and the Siddhivinayak temple. He also shot video footages of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and the Nariman House, and hand-drew the maps of all the 26/11 targets. In December 2007, he reached Kathmandu where he handed over all these materials to Sabahuddin Shaikh. He then travelled on a Pakistani passport to Karachi and gave the maps to an LET member.
On 10 February 2008, Uttar Pradesh police arrested Ansari along with five others. He was arrested for his involvement with an attack on a Central Reserve Police Force camp in Rampur in 2007. After an interrogation in Mumbai, he accused a female FBI agent of sexual harassment. In 2010, he was acquitted for lack of evidence of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Later he was shifted from Arthur Road Jail to Uttar Pradesh for the trial of Rampur case.
