Erica Fernandes Biography

Erica Fernandes is an Indian actress who works in south Indian movies as well as Bollywood. She is a successful model and has participated in Miss India 2012, where she finished among the top 10 finalists. In 2013, she debut big screen with Tamil flick - Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. In 2014, she debut Bollywood playing lead role in Babloo Happy Hai. She worked aside Sahil Anand and the movie was directed by critically acclaimed film director Nila Madhab Panda, known for the movies - I am Kalam and Jalpari. Earlier the movie was named, Love is not mathematics.

 
Erica was born and brought up in Mumbai. She was born to Ralph Fernandes, a model and interior designer, and Lavina. They originally belong to Mangalore, Karnataka. She did her schooling from Holy Cross High School and completed graduation from SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Later she took Bachelors in Arts from St. Andrew's College, Mumbai. Since 2010, she has been active in modelling and beauty contests. She won several beauty contests including Pantaloons Femina Miss Maharashtra 2011, which gave her entry to Miss India contest.

 
The first movie for which Erica auctioned was S. J. Surya's Isai. But it was not successful. But she got the lead role in the bilingual Virattu / Dega. She is paired with newcomer Sujiv, son of the director Kumar. Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu marked her screen debut, where she played second lead aside Bharath and Mirthika. The movie was directed by Sasi. She is to debut Telugu with Kumar Ravilla’s Dega where she plays lead role opposite Sujiv. Vizhithiru (Tamil) and Airavatha (Kannada) are other upcoming movies.
