Elizabeth Anita Reddi Biography

Elizabeth Anita Reddi is a former Indian model and beauty pageant winner from south India, and the first one to won the international title, Miss Teenage Intercontinental in 1978, during her teens. She contested for international title, Miss Teenage Intercontinental representing India, after winning Femina Teen Princess of 1978, conducted by Femina Women’s Magazine. Miss India first runner up - Elizabeth Anita Reddi finished at 10th place at Miss World in 1980, and thus was a semifinalist. Thus she represented India at Miss World 1980 and finished among top 15 semifinalists.

She was born in the year 1959 in Andhra Pradesh. He other names are Reddy and Elizabeth. She got interested in modelling and did a few assignments in the second half of 1970s, when fashion industry was not so big in India. Only a few girls were interested in modelling then. She participated in several beauty contests since her late teens and won many of them. She also earned subtitles in a few. Thus she is one among the successful models of early fashion era in India.

She participated in Femina Miss India 1977 contest and was crowned Femina Teen Princess India 1977. She won Miss Teenage Intercontinental 1978, the first Indian to win this pageant, and also won the subtitles - Miss Amity, Best in National Costume etc. She was the runner-up at Femina Miss India 1980 contest and represented India at Femina Miss India World 1980, where she finished as Semifinalist.

She has been participated twice in Femina Miss India in in 1977 and 1980s. She was crowned Femina Teen Princess India 1977. She was also has been chosen to represent India at Miss Teenage International Continental 1978 held in Aruba and was crowned the winner at the pageant. After completing her as Miss Teenage Intercontinental she had come back to India for continuing modelling. Thus after three years in 1980 she was crowned Femina Miss India World 1980.
