Eldo Abraham Biography

Eldo Abraham is an Indian politician from Kerala, who currently serves as MLA representing Constituency of Muvattupuzha. He was elected to Kerala State Legislative Assembly representing Communist Party of India. It is his first term in state assembly, and LDF gave opportunity to many newcomers for the first time during assembly elections, and most of the candidates won as well.

Eldo Abraham was associated with student politics since young. He studied in Muvattupuzha Nirmala college and also Chaakka Government ITA. He was a prominent figure in students’ politics. He also served as Panchayat member twice. He received 80% of the total polled votes during his first Panchayat election. When he got ticket to state assembly, not even his friends were sure of his win. But he won the seat with a majority of more than 1 lakh votes.

He was born to Abraham and Eliyamma in a middle class family. He has three siblings. Along with his aunt, the family ran a hotel business during his younger days. Young Abraham had to do a lot of works at their hotel before he goes to school. He also helped his father during lunch break and in the evenings. Later due to financial troubles, the family was forced to sell the hotel. His sister went abroad for nursing job. After 1.5 years of her married life, her husband committed suicide and Abraham supported her and kid. His sister supported him a lot in his political journey.

Eldo Abraham is a friend of Eldhose Kunnappilly, Congress MLA elected to KLA in 2016 from Perumbavoor. Though they belong to two extreme poles, belonging to two different parts, similarity in their names is shown in their friendship as well. The duo has a friendship story of more than 2 decades since their college days during 1995-1996. They studied in different colleges, yet through campus politics they know each other. They have also raised slogans against each other during those years.
