Durjoy Datta Biography

Durjoy Datta is a famous Indian young novelist and one of the highest selling Indian authors in fiction who writes screenplays for television serials as well. SADDA HAQ, on Channel V and Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera on Star Plus are his popular shows on television. The English Teacher, Shades Of Love is his collection of short stories. He is a recipient of the Teacher's Achievement Awards in the year 2012. He has delivered speeches at many TEDx conferences in colleges across India.

Durjoy Datta was born and brought up in Delhi. His schooling was also done in Delhi. He was born in the year 1987. He completed engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He did his post-graduation from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He started writing during his final year at college and published the first book in 2008, still at college. His book, "Of Course I Love You!" was published at the age of 21. The theme based on his experiences at Delhi College of Engineering, was accepted by readers and received good response. The following year, he published its sequel titled, "Now That You're Rich!" which was one among the bestsellers of the year. His third book, "She Broke Up, I Didn't!" was published in the year 2010.

In 2011, he co-founded Grapevine India Publishers in Gurgaon with his friend Sachin Garg to promote young writers. His fifth book, "You Were My Crush!", was published by Grapevine India Publishers in September 2011 and was a bestseller. His other published books are If It's Not Forever! (2012), Till The Last Breath (2012), Someone Like You (2013) and Hold My Hand (2013). Datta has also co-authored his books with Maanvi Ahuja, Neeti Rustagi, Orvana Ghai and Nikita Singh.
