Dilip Dandekar Biography 
Dilip Dandekar is an Indian businessman, who formerly served as the chairman and managing director of Kokuyo Camlin Ltd. He currently serves as the President of Indian Merchants' Chambers and also the chairman of Kokuyo Camlin Ltd., and Camlin Fine Sciences. Kokuyo Camlin Limited, formerly known as Camlin Limited, is a leading stationery company based in Mumbai. His father Digambar Dandekar was a co-founder of famous Camlin Ltd.
Dilip Dandekar was born into a business family. Born as the son of Digambar Dandekar, a co-founder of famous Camlin Ltd, he joined family business after completing his studies. He joined Camlin Ltd. as a management trainee under his father and uncle G. P. Dandekar, the co-founders of the company. He became executive director of the company in 1979. In 2002 he became the chairman and managing director of the company, following the retirement of his elder brother Subhash Dandekar who served on chair for long 48 years. He currently serves as member of the executive committee of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Following the death of his first wife Anjali Gogte in 1993, he remarried in 1998. Smita Karandikar is his second wife. He has a total of three children and one step-daughter. He has formerly served as a Vice President of Indian Merchants' Chambers. His family is related to the well-known Agashe industrialist family of Maharashtra. The members of the family include industrialist and lawyer, Chandrashekhar Agashe, his son - Dnyaneshwar Agashe – a businessman, cricketer and cricket administrator and his grandsons - Mandar Agashe and Ashutosh Agashe, successful entrepreneurs. Mandar Agashe is also known as a musician while Ashutosh Agashe has been a member of Maharashtra state team who played Ranji Trophy matches in the second half of 1990s. Cricket administrator Dnyaneshwar Agashe was his first cousin-in-law.
