Diandra Soares Biography

Diandra Soares is a successful ramp model known for her bald looks on the ramp. She is also known as an anchor and a fashion designer. She was crowned as Miss. Bombay in the year 1995 and later she had a successful modelling career. She has also appeared in several international fashion shows conducted by Gucci, Leonard Paris, Emanuel Ungaro, Sonia Rykiel and Miami Fashion Show, apart from Indian designers. She made her film debut through ‘Everybody Says I'm Fine!’ (2001), directed by Rahul Bose. She has also done a cameo role as a model in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion.  

She started her modelling career at the age of 16. At the age of 13 itself, she has determined that she would become a model. Her first assignment was for Tips and Toes. She did her first fashion show for McDowell's. In 1995, she was crowned Miss Bombay and very soon she became one of the hot models of the country. She signed many projects and did ramp walks for all leading fashion designers of the entertainment industry. She appeared with bald head for the first time in 1999 in Goa. Her appearance shocked the entire fashion world. But she explained as her experiment and later she appeared so in 2010 at the age of 30. This time she received appreciation for her experiment.

She also appeared in a few music videos. Bali Bramhabhatt's remix Ila Arun (Kichdi), Jalwa, Jadoo etc are a few among those. She was to debut Bollywood with 2003 disaster Bhoom, based on fashion industry. But she had a fashion assignment at Paris and thus she left the project. However the role later went to Katrina Kaif and marked her Bollywood debut too. In 2001, she made her film debut through the English film, Everybody Says I'm Fine! She hosted Channel V’s popular show, Get Gorgeous and has also contested in the fourth season of Akshay Kumar’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.
