Dheekshitha Venkadeshan Biography 
Dheekshitha Venkadeshan, known by the name Dhee is a playback singer associated with Tamil films. Her break to films was given by her stepfather music composer Santhosh Narayanan, with whom she has been regularly associated with. She has a few chartbuster songs to her credit. She sang two songs for the recent Madhavan film - Irudhi Suttru. Her voice was used for the lead actress Ritika Singh and the songs - "Ey Sandakaara" and "Usuru Narumbeley" became quite popular. In fact ‘Ei Sandakaara’ became the popular track of the album. Her singing also received critics’ appreciation. "Naan Nee" for the Tamil film Madras is another popular song, she sang alongside Shakthisree Gopalan.
Dhee is born into a musical family. Her mother Meenakshi Iyer is a trained classical dancer, who later remarried noted Tamil music composer Santhosh Narayanan. Dhee has an elder brother, Sudheekshanan who currently studies in Sydney. She made her singing debut through Santhosh Narayanan’s Pizza II: Villa (2013), followed by Cuckoo (2014) where she rendered her voice for the songs "Disco Woman" and "Enda Mapla" respectively. But her big break to singing was 2014 movie – Madras. She sang the song "Naan Nee" alongside Shakthisree Gopalan, which gave her nominations at Filmfare and Vijay Film awards for best playback singer female.
Though she got recognition as a singer through ‘Madras’, she was yet to get a solo hit number. Santhosh Narayanan once again used her voice for his recent bilingual film - Irudhi Suttru. Her voice was used for two of its Tamil version songs - "Ey Sandakaara" and "Usuru Narumbeley". Both the solo numbers became chartbusters and earned critics’ appreciation as well.
