Devdatta Nage Biography

Devdatta Nage is an Indian actor who appears in films and television shows, in supporting roles. He has also played grey roles on screen, and is associated with Hindi and Marathi entertainment industry. His role as Lord Khandoba in the serial Jai Malhar earned him recognition. The show was aired on Zee Marathi. He is quite popular with mythological and historic roles on small screen. Nage was a professional sketching artist before he forayed into acting. As a film actor, he appeared in Bollywood films – Sangharsh, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara and most recently in Satyameva Jayate.

 

Devdatta Nage was born on 5th February 1981 in Alibag of Raigad, Maharashtra state. He is married to Kanchan Nage. Currently he is settled in Mumbai with his wife and son. He worked as a professional sketching artist before he turned active in acting field. He was first seen in a brief role in Akshay Kumar starrer Sanghursh in 1999. He worked in a few Hindi and Marathi serials in less significant roles before finding fame through Jai Malhar, where he portrayed the role of Lord Khandoba. His well-toned body and sharp acting helped him to earn a space in Marathi television industry.

 

Before Jai Malhar happened, he earned initial fame through Veer Shivaji playing the supporting role of Tanaji Malusare. Lagi tuzse lagan and Bhaiya Vikhe Patil are his other television works. After the huge success of his role as Khandoba in Jai Malhar, he is often addressed by this name by his fan followers. Among all his works, he is quite popular with his mythological screen roles. He was interested in acting and gym since childhood, and he used to train people on trekking and river rafting earlier.
