Deepti Bhatnagar Biography

Deepti Bhatnagar is a successful model of 1990’s. She was a professional model and has won the Eves Weekly contest in 1990. She has appeared in a few Bollywood movies as well. Her first film role came in Sanjay Gupta's Ram Shastra and Indra Kumar’s Mann. She played leading role in Dulhan banoo mein teri. She has also anchored a few television shows in Star Plus.

 

Deepti Bhatnagar was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on September 30, 1967. She did her early education from Delhi and has also attended Meerut University. She moved to Mumbai in 1992. She was in search of a good ad agency to promote her handicrafts factory in Meerut. But accidently she signed for an ad agency to model for the Roopmilan saris’ press ad. It became quite successful and she changed her decision. She went on signing modeling assignments one after the other. After the first ad, she signed 12 more campaigns quickly. Very soon she became a sought face in the modeling industry and she began to appear in many television ads as well.

 

She gave up her idea of handicrafts industry and concentrated fully on modeling, thus taking it as her profession. She won the Eves Weekly contest in 1990 and has done numerous fashion shows, India and abroad. She was quite successful in Singapore as a model. She debut Bollywood with Ram shastra in 1995 and very soon her first Telugu movie was also released. It was Pelli Sandadi released in the year 1997. Same year her debut Tamil movie was also released - Dharma Chakkaram.  

 

Her Bollywood movies are Qahar, Dulhan banoo mein teri, Mann, Humse Badhkar Kaun, Rok Sako To Rok Lo, Agni varsha, Uljhan and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. Yet she couldn’t find at least one successful Bollywood movie. Apart from Pelli Sandadi, she has also acted in Auto Driver and Kondaveeti Simhasanam (Telugu movies). In 2001, she ventured into television production with the travel shows. Yatra, a religious travel guide show and Musafir Hoon Yaaron became quite popular in Star Plus. She hosted Musafir hoon yaarom for six years visiting 80 countries.
