Deepthi Nambiar Biography

Deepthi Nambiar is a south Indian film actress who works in Malayalam and Tamil movies. She is best known for her small romantic role as "Pooja" in the 2011 Tamil film Engaeyum Eppothum. She appears in supporting roles in Tamil movies and she is to debut Malayalam with the movie, Cherukkanum Pennum. Vellai Kaagidham and Ungal Viruppam are her upcoming Tamil projects. Deepthi is a Keralite born in Pune. She studied at St. Anne's High School, Pune. Later on she graduated from S.N.D.T College with Bachelors Degree in Commerce. Now she is doing MBA in Pune.

 
Deepthi started her career as an anchor of Malayalam channels. Later she made entry to films. She debut film industry with Tamil movie – Pattalam in the year 2009, where she acted aside Nadiya Moidu. Her character’s name was Sophia and she appeared in character role in this movie. Her second movie was Engaeyum Eppothum, the role for which she is remembered most. The movie was produced by A. R. Murugadoss, where she worked aside Jai, Anjali, Ananya and Sharvanand. This movie illustrates two love stories and she played the role of Pooja in this movie. In 2012, her movie ‘Yugam’ was released where she was assigned the same successful character name – Pooja.

In 2012, she got an opportunity to work with popular actor of Kollywood, Vijay in the successful movie, Thuppakki. She got opportunity to work with Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyan, Jayaram and Zakir Hussain. The movie was directed by A. R. Murugadoss, who has given her first big break to the industry - Engaeyum Eppothum. This movie was the highest grosser of 2012 and has been made to other languages as well. Deepthi is to debut Malayalam in lead role opposite Sreejith Vijay in Pradeep Nair’s Cherukkanum pennum.
