Deepika Samson is a very successful and popular actress of Indian small screen, best known for the lead role in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors TV. Simar Bharadwaj was her character name and she played lead opposite Shoaib Ibrahim / Dheeraj Dhoopar. She was an air hostess before entering the small screen as an actress. She has been nominated at Colors Golden Petal Awards successively for three years, for the categories -Lokpriya Naya Sadasya Female, Lokpriya Jodi, Sanskaari Personality and Bhavuk Personality. She has been nominated aside both Shoaib Ibrahim and Dheeraj Dhoopar in the same category, Most favourite Jodi. She won the awards in the year 2013 for the categories - Most Sanskaari Personality and Most Bhavuk Personality.

She comes from Pune, Maharashtra, born in the year 1986. She was an air hostess before entering small screen.  Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi, aired on NDTV imagine in 2010 marked her small screen debut. She played the character role of Lakshmi in this tele-series. It was followed by Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee TV, in which she portrayed the role of Lali's sister. Sasural Simar Ka, the following year was her big break in which she played lead role.

After the series, Sasural Simar Ka her linked-ups with her co-star Shoaib Ibrahim surfaced in 2012. She was earlier secretly married to pilot Raunak Mehta three years ago. As soon as her linkups with Shoaib surfaced, her marriage went on rocks. Yet Deepika denied the allegations that Shoaib is only her co-star and nothing more than that. But media made big headlines. According to media reports she took decision to get divorced, though the exact reason for the split remains unknown.
