Deepak Dinkar Biography

Deepak Dinkar is a leading television actor associated with Tamil entertainment industry, who also plays character roles in Tamil films. He is a successful television host and a household name in Tamil Nadu and he successfully hosts Jodi Number One and many other shows. Joined the show as a performer in season 1, he hosted the show for Season 2, 3 & 4. As a television actor, he is best known for portraying the male protagonist Tamil in the mega series – Tamil aired on Sun TV Thendral. He is also a dubbing artist. Kadhal Virus (2002), Ilasu Pudhusu Ravusu (2003), Saroja (2008), Mundhinam Paartheney (2010), Uyarthiru 420 (2011) and Ivanuku Thannila Gandam (2015) are some of his noted character roles.

Deepak Dinkar was born in Chennai in 1979. He studied Economics in Loyala College, Chennai and later married S. Sivaranjini. The couple has one son. He is a close relative of television personality and actor – Sanjeev, who is married to television actress Preethi Sreenivasan. He appeared on television for the first time as a contestant of the reality show - Jodi Number One. His presence was well noticed and very soon he became the anchor of the same show and successfully hosted its 2, 3 & 4 seasons. Later he played television serials for Raj TV, Sun TV, Kalaignar TV, Vijay TV etc.

Bandam, Sharada, Geetanjali, Butterflies, Rakkai Katiya Manasu, Agni Satchi, Manaivi, Malargal, Jenman- X, Arasi, Vaira Nenjam, Kadha and Nila are his noted television roles. He has also dubbed for the movies - Uyir ezhuthu, Naam and Album. He has also hosted the reality shows - Boys vs Girls -Season 1 & 2 for Vijay TV and Super Kudumbam - Season 1 & 2 for Sun TV.
