Darbuka Siva Biography 
Darbuka Siva is an actor and musician from Chennai. He is also a music producer and a radio jockey, and has been associated with several Tamil films in music department. Music projects like Yodhakaa and La Pongal earned him initial success and recognition. He made his film debut as an actor before his debut as a musician. As an actor, Rajathandhiram marked his debut as an actor in 2015, where he played the pivot role of Austin D'Costa. In 2016 he made his film debut as a music director through Kidaari. Darbuka Siva bro'ject, a collection of various artistic expressions conveyed through images and sounds, is his most recent independent work in music.
He was born in 1982 in Chennai into a middle class family. Since school days he got fascinated with the world of music. But his family situation was not enough to promote his music studies. After he joined college, he got opportunity to learn local music circuit a little bit which proved to be a major turning point. He bunked his college classes and attended music shows and keep in contact with music artists at music venues and studios of Chennai. He managed to buy a basic drum kit of his own in 1999, and started self-study. He started off as a drummer as well; later he identified his hidden talents and worked towards it.
A talented percussionist, he turned a music producer and composer and opportunities came his way. In 2003 in association with Tanvi Shah he started a music band, 'Zahrra'. In 2005, Siva formed 'Yodhakaa', where he experimented with Indian classical music. He explored with various music styles and in 2010, Siva created La Pongal, a platform for contemporary folk music which indeed became a great success. He was also associated with Radio Mirchi as an RJ in 2007.
