Chittaranjan Tripathy Biography 
Chittaranjan Tripathy is an Odia cine personality who also appears in Hindi movies. He works as a director, music director and actor in Odia film industry. He holds a Diploma in Acting from the prestigious National School of Drama in Delhi. He also studied film direction at the Guildford School of Acting, London. As a film actor he has appeared in character roles in Hindi and Odia movies such as Delhi 6, Phantom, Sandar, Talvar, and Tera mera tedha medha. A multi-facet personality he has also composed over 500 songs for plays. Most recently Tripathy’s deft portrayal of ‘Trivedi’ in 2018 web series, Sacred Games has caught the attention of the industry as well as audience.
Chittaranjan Tripathy is one among those artists from Orissa who has carved a niche for themselves through his excellent body of work. He was born in Chandabali in Odisha. After completing his Master’s in Sociology from University of Hyderabad, he pursued his acting dreams and joined NSD, Delhi after which he studied at Guildford School of Acting, London. He has been a part of several Hindi movies such as ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Phantom’, ‘Shaandar’, ‘Talwar’, ‘Commando 2’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Mukkabaaz’, ‘Fukrey Returns’, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, ‘A Gentleman’ etc. Yet the recognition has come after years of perseverance through the web series, Sacred Games in 2018.
Initially he worked in Odiya film industry. He got his first break through 2007 Odia film, Dhauli Express, which marked his producer, director, scriptwriter, music director, lyricist and playback singer. The film was critically well acclaimed and also received three state awards in different categories. He directed his second movie, Mukhyamantri in 2009, after which he concentrated more on theatre work. Yet he remained a seasonal actor. He has directed episodes of television soaps.
