Chiranjeevi Sarja Biography

Chiranjeevi Sarja is a young film actor who concentrates on Kannada film industry. He is the elder brother of youth sensation, Dhruva Sarja of Addhuri fame. Chiranjeevi is the nephew of famous south Indian film actor Arjun Sarja. Actress Aishwarya Arjun is his cousin. Chiranjeevi was launched by his uncle Arjun through the movie – Vayuputra in 2009, remake of Tamil movie Sandakozhi directed by N. Linguswam. Ajith – remake of Payya and Chandralekha – remake of Prema Katha Chitram are his 2014 releases. In fact most of his releases are remakes of other south Indian language hits like Payya, Pizza, Kakka Kakka, Prema Katha Chitram, Lakshyam etc and his upcoming movie Rudra Thandava too is a remake of Tamil film - Pandiya Naadu.

Chiranjeevi Sarja, mononymously known as Chiru was born in Bangalore Karnataka in 1984. He was born into a family closely associated with cinema. He is the grandson of veteran Kannada actor Shakti Prasad. He schooled at Baldwin Boys High School, Banglore and completed graduation in commerce from Vijaya College. Then he joined Namith Kapoor School of acting in Mumbai and later joined his uncle Arjun Sarja as an assistant where he worked for four long years to learn the essentials of cinema. Kannada movie Vayuputra (2009) marked his acting debut and the movie was produced by his uncle. But the movie didn’t fare well at box office and received mixed response from critics. It was followed by a series of flops like Chiru and Gandedhe.

He has been paired with almost all top heroines of present industry and now has made strong foothold from film to film. He is mostly seen in action films and Arjun Sarja is his godfather in the film industry. Whistle, remake of Tamil blockbuster Pizza is a successful movie released in 2013 and the movie received positive response from critics and audience. He was paired with Pranitha Subhash for this movie.
