Chinni Jayanth Biography 
Chinni Jayanth is an Indian film director, actor, comedian and mimicry artist primarily concentrating in films of Tamil language. He has performed in many supportive roles in Tamil films. He has acted in more than 400 films to his credit. He was rewarded with the Kalaimamani Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu for his talents in film industry.
Chinni Jayanth was born on 26th July 1960 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His birth name is Narayanan. His father’s name is Krishnamurthy and his mother’s name is Aandaal. His father hailed from Thirukkovilur and his mother from Coimbatore. He has one brother named Murali and one sister named Rukhmani Parimala. He married Jayashree and has two sons Sruthan Jai and Siddharth. His mother tongue is Telugu.
He studied at St. Peters School, Ramakrishna Elementary School, P.S. High School at Mylapore and Wesley High School. He got his graduation in commerce from New College in Chennai and then studied at Adyar Film Institute.
He entered into film industry in the year 1984 and his debut film was Kai Kodukkum Kai with Rajnikanth directed by J. Mahendiran. His unique style of acting attracted people and his performance in the films like Kan Ethire Thondrinal, Kizhaku Vasal, Idhayam and Chinna Pulla were appreciated by the audience.
He is very good at mimicry. He can mimic any great personalities as well as the gestures of animals. He has conducted his mimicry shows in many countries of the world. The prestigious organizations like American Tamil Medical Asociation and Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam have invited him for conducting stage shows.
He has also tried his hands at direction. He had directed and produced some films like Unakaga Mattum, Kaanal Neer, Neeye Yen Kaadhali and Chinna Pulla. He has anchored some television shows like Sagalai Vs Ragalai, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru in Vijay TV. He is a regular judge on Asathapovathu Yaaru program in Sun TV.
He has conducted many charity programs and fund raising events without getting any remuneration for them. He is also an active member of the Round Table Movement BANYAN. He has raised funds for the Aids awareness program Netru Indru Nalai. He has won many awards and honors for his performance.
