Chandrika Ravi is an Australian actress, model and dancer of Indian origin. She was born and raised in Australia. Later she moved to India to pursue a career in entertainment industry and succeeded in this field as a model and actress. As a film actress she earned recognition through adult horror comedy film, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, where she formed a part of the ensemble cast. She played the significant role of the ghost in the movie. Chandrika’s facial features and appearance resemble south Indian siren, late actress Silk Smitha, and for the same reason she earned the nickname of ‘Modern Silk Smitha’ in Tamil Nadu.

Chandrika Ravi was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Her father is a Malayali and her mother is a Tamilian. She completed her studies in Australia before she moved to Chennai to pursue a career in modelling and film industry. Initially she began her modelling career in U.S before settling in India. She was studying Acting at New York Film Academy in US when she pursued modelling for the first time. Later she decided to take up modelling as a full-time profession. She started her career as a model in 2013, and also decided to pursue acting along with it.

Initially she worked as a model in India, before accepting acting roles. She was a finalist in 2012 Miss World Australia and Miss India Australia. She has won runner-up title in 2014 Miss Maxim India. She signed her first film, Sei in 2017. But the movie got shelved. She appeared in an Indian English film, Bollywood to Hollywood before marking her debut in Tamil films in 2018. She played the ghost’s role in Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu.
