Boman Irani is one among those talented actors who had a late entry in Bollywood. He started his acting career through theatre and moved to movies only after he reached 40. So, as a valuable actor we have lost a lot of contributions of this genius. Boman Irani is such a versatile actor who has the flexibility to handle both comic roles and negative roles with ease and in all Rajkumar Hirani movies we have witnessed the easiness with which Boman Irani has handled the villain’s role with a comic touch!

It’s not easy to say which movie is the best – Munnabhai series or 3 Idiots. People have welcomed his roles with both hands, though they include negative touch and even if he had been used as the ‘bad man’ of these movies. He began his acting career through ads. Ad of Krackjack biscuits was very famous. He has done the ads of Fanta soft drink and Ceat tyres as well. His entry to Bollywood was through 2001 movie, ‘Everybody says I am fine’. But his role was not at all noticed. Before working in Munnabhai MBBS, he had done small roles for Let’s talk, Darna Mana hai and Bhoom. Bhoom was a disaster at box office, the debut movie of Katrina Kaif. But the single movie Munnabhai MBBS gave him a huge fan follow up and his villain’s role in a comic style was well appreciated. He carried his own style in acting, facial expressions and delivering dialogues. When audience saw a fresh look of a villain, his role played a significant role in the roaring success of Munnabhai in theatres. Everyone loved Dr.Asthana than the leading pairs of the movie.  Then Boman Irani became a popular face all around.

This happened during Lage raho Munnabhai also. Everyone appreciated the role of Lucky Singh and the climax scene when he tries to take photograph with Gandhiji. But the best of Boman Irani was yet to come. It came in the form of 3 Idiots – The best money making movie ever made on Indian screen! each and every scene of the movie was worth to watch!
