Bhoomi Trivedi Biography

Bhoomi Trivedi is a playback singer associated with Bollywood, best known for the song – Ram Chahe Leela Chahe of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013). One of the biggest chartbusters of the year, this particular item song was pictured on Priyanka Chopra. Bhoomi received numerous awards and nominations for this particular song. Bhoomi has earlier appeared in several seasons of singing talent hunt show – Indian Idol, and was the runner-up of the 5th season. Earlier she participated in its third and fourth seasons. Thus she is a familiar face to television viewers who watch singing talent hunt shows.

 

She was born into a musical family of Vadodara, Gujarat. Her mother is a folk singer who has her own music group. Her father is a railway employee who is interested in music and singing. Bhoomi started formal learning in music while studying in the 8th standard. She used to perform with her mother for Navaratri celebrations. She auditioned for Indian Idol for the first time in 2007, but quit the show due to jaundice. The following year too, though she successfully auditioned for the show, she had to leave it in the middle following her aunt’s death. She returned in a bang for the third attempt, where she eventually finished as the runner-up.

 

She started her Bollywood journey with the song - "Bahne Dey" for the less known movie, Prem Mayee. It was followed by the title track of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), which shot her to fame. She received Best Female Playback Singer award at Star Guild Awards and GiMA Awards, apart from Upcoming Female Vocalist of the Year from Mirchi Music Awards. In 2015, she sang the title track of Carry On Maratha and "Dance Ke Legend" for the movie – Hero.
