Hasee Toh Phasee and Jai Ho – are her noted Bollywood appearances. Bhavna loves mythological shows than Saus-Bahu stereotype serials.

Bhavna hails from Shimla and her father worked in Indian Army. She spent her childhood and teens in North India, where she was brought up in a disciplined way by her father. She worked in the retail industry for a few years before she joined entertainment world. She came to Mumbai in 2008 and started her career as a model. Then she got opportunity to work in a couple of Bollywood movies and episodic show, - "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" opposite Ruslaan Mumtaz.

She played the bubby elder sister of Razia Sultan, Shazia (Old) in the historic series - Razia Sultan, lead roles played by Pankhuri Awasthy, Rohit Purohit and Sooraj Thapar. She was later replaced by noted model – Zara Barring for the show. Zara is the girlfriend of Saurabh Pandey who plays the pivot role of Jamal-ud-din Yakut in the show. Interestingly Bhavana was initially offered the lead role of Razia in the series. But she rejected the role, as she couldn’t relate herself to the character.
