Bhargavi Chirmule Biography

Bhargavi Chirmule is an Indian actress who works in Marathi movies and television. She has also participated in the reality comedy show Eka Peksha Ek (Celebrity Parv) and won the competition. The show was hosted by Adesh Bandekar. She is also associated with theatre and   Himalayachi Savali and Zopi Gelela Jaga Zala are her popular theater plays. Navra Maza Bhavra (2013), Daaghedore (2012), Gola Berij (2012), One Room Kitchen (2011), Ideachi Kalpana (2010) and Kas (2010) are her recent appearances on silver screen.

 

She was born in Mumbai on 29 March 1978. Her childhood days were spent in Mumbai and Gurgaon where she completed her education. She graduated from Ruparel College, Mumbai. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and also a yoga theoripist. Her younger sister Chaitrali is married to noted actor Lokesh Gupte. Bhargavi married Pankaj Ekbote in 2012. She got associated with theatre while doing her graduation at Ruparel College, Mumbai. She has worked with great Marathi theater artists like Sachin Pilgaonkar, Mahesh Kothare and Ashok Saraf. 'Zopi Gelela Jag Zala' in 2012 is her latest theater work.

 

She played the role of a middle class housewife in One Room Kitchen, which starred the popular actor Bharat Jadhav. She has also hosted the show - Ek Sandhi Ajunhi on Marathi television. The show is based on real life incidents that portray troubled relationships. The show also finds the reasons behind rifts and tries to reach a solution too. The show highlights the importance of giving relationships another chance to survive. Most recently she made a special appearance for the Marathi movies, Sasu Cha Swayamwar and Navra Maza Bhavra, both released in 2013.
