The story of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom was based on a real-life incident of cinematographer C. Prem Kumar, who lost his memory temporarily just two days before marriage, while fielding in cricket. Balaji was also present at the occasion who later wove a beautiful script in a comic style. The cinematography was done by C. Prem Kumar himself, the victim of the incident. One of the other witnesses, Bagavathi Perumal enacted the same role onscreen. The movie earned him recognition as a director and screenwriter winning him several awards. In 2013, though he started working on the project ‘Seethakathi’, the movie was stalled and will be released later. Now he is busy with Oru Pakka Kathai.
